The education and learning landscape is evolving, and False Bay TVET College is within the forefront, recognizing that the traditional school model isn't the only effective means of learning. Their NCV programmes are intended for students who would like to their journey toward a fulfilling vocation early on.

CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Division for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, with regards to their offering.

False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are offered at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a three-year period.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Requirements

These programs begin at NCV level 2 as well as minimum requirement would then be Grade nine certificate with a pass in Arithmetic.

At the time the student finishes NCVLevel two, they would then have attained a grade ten certification. NCV Level three would be grade 11 and NCV Level 4 is grade 12.

NCV Level four is at the exit level, currently being comparable to a Nationwide Senior Certificate (NSC).

Grade 9 is on NQF level 1. Our NCV programmes start NCV amount two and that is equivalent to an NQF level 2.

On which sort of students are suited for these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that conventional education will not be always the sole way of starting to be an artisan or starting to be skilled so if a student knows from an early age what their pursuits are, the NCV programme is in fact perfectly fitted to that student.
